Dove Sucks

As an avid supporter of Greenpeace, I am proud of this video. Apparently it's the top new video when you search "Dove" on YouTube. Awesome!

Dove/Unilever is one of those wonderful companies that loves to cut down loads and loads of trees irresponsibly, just like the makers of Kleenex, who cut down trees that are thousands of years old, just so we can blow our nose once, and throw the tissue out. (Then they make excuses that they are "researching alternatives"). Hey, is that research back yet?

Anyway, back to the Dove people who talk a good talk about "inner beauty" in their ad campaign. Obviously they don't really care about inner beauty if they are plowing down trees and destroying habitats at an absurd rate.

Think about it. Make a wise choice and don't buy these products. Please.

Yes Jason Greenpeace does it again.

They fail to inform properly or listen. They put their propaganda spin on a consumable item. They go after large corporations who have money and will fight them so they can promote their causes. What's next the Beetles that are eating away at and doing more damage then any logging company could ever achieve in Vancouver's rain forest. Wait, no they can't fight back or promote the ill-informed cause so why bother. The Beetle's carbon footprint is larger and more destructive then any corporation. This whole thing is total crap as every single one of "you" uses soap, toilet paper, toothpaste, gets dressed every day, eats etc... and oh yes produces your own carbon footprint that is destroying the planet. So before you applaud the ignorance of one group maybe you should open your eyes to both sides Greenpeace's spin and the truth.

and who do you work for anonymous? one of those companies awaiting results? your excuse is that a beetle is worse than us humans.

and what did you say about greenpeace? that, "They go after large corporations who have money"

how terrible! maybe that's so the consumer has knowledge about what really goes on.. and then they can make an informed choice..

YOU are spinning just as much as greenpeace may or may not be.

Oh no! Greenpeace is spinning an issue! But wait... maybe we can save some trees in the process... HEAVEN FORBID!

Why don't YOU wake up to waht we are going to be left with if this continues.

Stop blaming beetles, Ringo.

She's saying "oh the beetle is worse than us, so let corporations do as they please. let's bulldoze animals out of their homes"

time to take a LONG LOOK at yourself in the mirror

Oh I will man up. I am a stay-at-home dad so I am not hiding behind any corporation. I have my family following the 3'rs as closely as possible. I try to buy green and we will do our part. You missed the point man. I was saying do not blame a few large corporations for the damage we humans do or the naturally damage that is done from forces beyond our control. Many underdeveloped and over populated countries do much more damage to our plant then these few big companies do. So why not target those counties and make them accountable and make changes that way where it will make a difference. I don't understand what is to be gained by going after a few big corporations.

OK, here's the thing. Why can we not do both?

In other words, I don't disagree.. yes, there is a bigger picture that we are all a part of.. but at the same time what is the harm in pointing out the hypocricy of the Dove ad campaign and the realities of what that company DOES do?

Seems weird for them to be talking about "inner beauty" when they dont respect the Earth's limitations.

Dude their inner beauty campaign is a crock considering they are the same company that makes SlimFast

Sad, there is so much going on that we really don't know about and it seems to be the rich get richer off of killing someone or something beautiful
